All it had taken was one special word: mission. After he had heard that, Sokka had been quite eager to help, though he still had his suspicions about the boys who lived among the trees. Jet had smirked at the excitement that had lit up the boy’s blue eyes. Katara and Aang had easily fallen for his charm, but Sokka hadn’t. That made Jet want to focus all his attention on the Water Tribe’s boy. Jet needed to find a way to make Sokka join his side or at least incapacitate the boy for a while so they could pull off their plan to rid the area of the Fire Nation.
“So what exactly is this mission?” Sokka asked as they walked through the forest. They had traveled quite some distance from the tree houses, and Sokka was still in the dark about the mission.
I guess this is a good enough place, Jet thought as he stopped and spun around to face the other boy.
Sokka nearly ran into the other boy and jerked away quickly. However, Jet grabbed the boy’s wrists. “What are you doing?” Sokka demanded, struggling against the boy’s hold. A sharp tug on his wrists sent Sokka stumbling forward into Jet’s chest.
“Why should we continue to dance around this any longer?” Jet asked with a smirk. He turned his head to the side and spit out the blade of grass he had been chewing on. One arm wrapped around Sokka’s waist and pulled him forward until their bodies pressed together.
“I don’t know what you’re planning, but let me go,” Sokka growled. He placed his hands on Jet’s chest and tried to push away.
“You can’t plan on being attracted to another person,” Jet said as his hand traveled down to squeeze Sokka’s butt, and he received a small squeak in response.
“I think I’ve entered a very scary world,” Sokka said, his voice cracking. “Men do not touch other men’s butts like that!”
“You can’t tell me that all those ‘come hither’ looks meant nothing.” Jet leaned forward to whisper into the other boy’s ear. “If you let me, I could please you in ways you never imagined.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, but I think it’s time we go back to your little tree house and-”
A pair of lips cut off Sokka’s words. He tried to push away again, but soon found his resolve crumbling and his strength fading. When Suki had kissed him, it had been a simple peck on the cheek. This kiss was full on the lips with tongue exploring his mouth. The hand on his butt didn’t help matters and, in fact, made things worse. Sokka had to hold onto the boy’s shoulders to keep himself on his feet. When he pulled away, Jet smirked at the dazed expression on the other boy’s face.
“Can I ask you something?” Sokka asked in a whisper, slowly licking his lips. His eyes fluttered up to meet the other boy’s gaze, and Jet had to wonder why he had never noticed how long and delicate Sokka’s eyelashes looked. “Do I look like some lovesick fan girl who will fawn over your every word simply because you kissed me?” Sokka glared at the other boy.
Jet stuttered, blinking in shock as he felt somewhat offended that his kissing skills hadn’t affected the boy the way he had hoped it would. While he was distracted, Sokka managed to free himself from Jet’s hold and put distance between them.
“I know you’re planning something big,” Sokka said. “And you’re probably going to ask my sister and Aang to help you. Before you can do that, we’re leaving.”
Jet laughed as he placed his hands on his hips. “And just how are you going to convince them to leave?”
“I – I’ll tell them you tried to seduce me!” Sokka said, though he sounded rather unsure about it.
“Right.” Jet nodded his head, smirking at the other boy. “And they’ll believe that. Your sister seems to think I’ve got a thing going for her, which is fine since it means she’ll be willing to do anything I ask her to.”
“You leave my sister alone! If you hurt her, I’ll kill you!” Sokka reached for his boomerang, but a hand stopped him. He glanced over his shoulder to find one of Jet’s underlings standing behind him.
“Take him for a nice, long walk,” Jet ordered as he started walking back toward the tree houses. “I don’t need him getting in the way of our plans.” He paused and turned back to look at the Water Tribe’s boy. “It’s a real shame. We could have been good together.” Jet stuck another blade of grass between his lips before disappearing from the sight of the struggling Sokka.
